For more than 70 years, the testing center of VK Lab Service LLP has been one of the largest specialized scientific and analytical centers in Kazakhstan for conducting multidisciplinary laboratory tests.
The laboratory was created in 1944. as a chemical laboratory for all expeditions and geological parties of Eastern Kazakhstan. The basis was a small hydrogeological laboratory of the Altaytsvetmetrazvedka trust.
Until May 2014, the VK LabService testing center was part of the Topaz Geological Exploration Company LLP as a structural unit of the East Kazakhstan Mineral Raw Materials Testing Center (VK CIMS).
In 2014, in connection with the reorganization of GRK Topaz LLP, VK CIMS was separated from VK Lab Service LLP into an independent legal entity and became part of the Best&AllianceGroup group of geological exploration companies.
The testing center of VK Lab Service LLP today is a multidisciplinary scientific and analytical center with many years of experience in laboratory research in the search, exploration, and calculation of mineral reserves in the Republic of Kazakhstan; has unique experience in analyzing drinking and natural waters for micro- and macro-components, determining the physical and mechanical properties of materials. The testing center performs the following types of work:
— comprehensive analytical studies of mineral raw materials (rocks, silicate, carbonate rocks, ores of ferrous, non-ferrous, rare, noble metals and their processed products; soil);
— hydrochemical analysis of underground, surface, drinking and natural waters;
— testing of non-metallic raw materials, study of the physical and mechanical properties of rocks and engineering and geological research;
— mineralogical, petrographic and mineragraphic studies of the mineral composition of rocks and ores.
The testing center has been accredited five times (from 2000 to 2015) in the accreditation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and has a valid accreditation certificate.
— Accreditation certificate No. KZ.I.07.0692 dated June 10, 2015 for compliance with the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2007 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”, valid until June 10, 2020
The testing center includes:
— Chemical-analytical laboratory - testing of mineral raw materials and water for the content of elements from almost the entire periodic table of Mendeleev.
— Laboratory of physical and mechanical tests — preparation and processing of samples for testing. Research of physical and mechanical properties of rocks, soils, sands is conducted. The laboratory has its own crushing shop and core storage, designed to perform work on sample preparation (crushing, abrasion) and storage of core and duplicate samples.
— Assay analysis laboratory — analysis of mineral raw materials for the content of precious metals (gold, silver);
— Mineralogical and petrographic laboratory – study of the mineral composition of rocks;
